Donorium
Since the mid-2000s, we had wanted to use technology to help donors. An information website was a first step, but Donorium gave us the opportunity to do much more for centres and donors.
The platform launched on 1 December 2018 in 5 centres (Bucharest, Ploiești, Constanța, Bacău and Arad) and expanded to a peak of 35 centres in 2020.
Donors can book appointments in the app, complete a quick eligibility questionnaire, log their donations, launch and respond to donation appeals, and invite friends to become donors. Version 2.0 launched in 2023 for Android, iOS and Huawei phones.

Donorium was created to make it easier for donors and blood transfusion centres in Romania to connect.
